May 21 start of the stabilizer wall

Tonight I started working on the stabilizing wall that holds up the cabinet and creates a wall for the kitchen area.   The roof had 6 screws sticking down. They were screwed in from the top and then the skin was placed on.  So getting them out was not an option.  I first thought that I would drill holes into a new piece of wood and place this on top of the screws.  I used toothpaste to mark where the screws were.  Drilled the holes and realized that some screws were cockeyed and they wouldn’t go down in the holes.  So I got out my small bolt cutters and cut a couple, but the still stuck out about 1/4 inch and it was really hard to cut.  So I pulled out the big guns and got the saw zaw and cut the screws off.  I was then able to place the new board up, add a little glue and 2 screws to hold it in.  There will be more screws as I add the side and middle supports.   I realized that the board that is the roof trim is really rotten and will have to be replaced, once I have more wall supports done.   I had to go buy 1 x 3 to add to the side of the floor.  This will be what the skin is attached to and what the wall boards will be attached to.     Now to start building the wall.

Today I started out cleaning and polishing the corner pieces of the cabinet.  I used Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish.  They turned out great.

Last week I took wood to school to rip to 2.5 inches.  It was for the cabinet by the door.  I started the building process today.  I got the end down and the base cut out for the back.  I need a 2.5 ripped board so I stopped.  Loaded wood into the car and will take to school tomm.  I bought a board for the 2 shelves.

Oct 22, 2014 dreamweaver…

  • On Gary Wright’s official site, he explains: “In 1972, my friend George Harrison invited me to accompany him on a trip to India. A few days before we left, he have me a copy of the book Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. Needless to say the book inspired me deeply, and I became totally fascinated with Indian culture and philosophy. My trip was an experience I will never forget. During the early ’70s while reading more of the writings of Paramahansa Yogananda, I came across a poem called God! God! God!. One of the lines in the poem referred to the idea of the mind weaving dreams and the thought immediately occurred to me, weaver of dreams… Dream Weaver. I wrote it down in my journal of song titles and forgot about it. Several months passed, and one weekend, while in the English countryside, I picked up my journal and came across the title ‘Dream Weaver.’ Feeling inspired, I picked up my acoustic guitar and began writing. The song was finished in an hour. The lyrics and music seemed to have flowed out of me as if written by an unseen source. After the record was released and became successful many people asked me what the song meant. I really wasn’t sure myself and would answer ‘it was about a kind of fantasy experience… a Dream Weaver train taking you through the cosmos.’ But I was never satisfied with that explanation, and as years went by I began to reflect on what the song actually meant and then it came to me: ‘Dream Weaver, I believe you can get me through the night…’ was a song about someone with infinite compassion and love carrying us through the night of our trials and suffering. None other than God Himself.”
